Week Three

This week, we constructed the SeaPerch. We cut and drilled holes in the PVC pipes , tested the motor, and began assembling the control box. We obtained 6 syringes- 3 small and 3 medium- and a baster for testing. Although the baster is larger that the sample size we desire, squeezing the top requires less force than pulling the syringe open. Perhaps using a pipette instead of a syringe would be more efficient; however, there is more of a chance of getting air in the sample. Further analysis is needed.
